<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently improve the electrical properties in a polyethylene resin electric wire covering and insulating material by preventing foreign matter formation or contamination while balancedly improving its properties including extrudability, heat resistance, mechanical properties, product appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The wire covering or insulating resin composition comprises 99 to 40 mass% linear low-density polyethylene resin (component A) which is an ethylene/3 to 20Cα-olefin copolymer obtained by the vapor phase polymerization using a chromium-containing catalyst formed by impregnating an inorganic oxide porous carrier with a chromium compound and satisfies properties: (a) a density of 0.91 to 0.94 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, (b) a melt flow rate of 0.1 to 5 g/10 min, and (c) a content of fisheyes of a 0.1 to 0.3 mm diameter of 70/g or smaller and a content of fisheyes of an above 0.3 mm diameter of 10/g or smaller and 1 to 60 mass% polyolefin resin (component B). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
