<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive unit capable of taking out a desired disk at random from a disk cartridge, in which a plurality of disk type recording media are housed. <P>SOLUTION: The disk drive unit is provided with: a disk operation rod 2 pierced through a through hole 25a formed at a cartridge case 25 and inserted into a center hole 22a of a disk type recording medium 21; a drive part 3 of the disk operation rod 2, a disk engaging body 8 provided at the disk operation rod 3; a detecting means 10 detecting an insertion position of the disk engaging body 8 in the cartridge case 25; and a control means 12 in which when it is detected by the detecting means 10 that the insertion position of the disk engaging body 8 reaches an arrangement position of the required disk type recording medium, the disk engaging body 8 is engaged to the required disk type recording medium 21, and a space of an upper side or a lower side of the disk type recording medium 21 to be taken out from the disk cartridge 20 is widened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
