<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric type ash melting furnace and its operation method capable of providing the stable continuous operation of the electric type ash melting furnace even if the measurement of an arc length and a slug temperature is difficult. <P>SOLUTION: An electrode position of a main electrode can be controlled, and the plasma arc length can be constantly maintained at a substantially certain interval by providing an ash input integrator 101 for measuring an input of incinerated ash 31, overall resistance between electrodes computing unit 102 determining an overall resistance value between the main electrode 4 and a furnace bottom electrode 7, a voltage set value computing unit 103 determining a voltage set value in regard to ash input per time responding to the ash melting furnace 1, and a voltage set value from the overall resistance value, a voltage measuring apparatus 104 measuring a voltage in response to the increase of the input of the incinerated ash 31, and an electrode position controller 105 adjusting the electrode position of the main electrode 4 from the voltage fluctuated by the input of the incinerated ash 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
