PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solidification method by which the workability at solidification work can be improved and appropriate solidification strength can be easily attained even for various materials to be solidified; and a solidifying agent used in the same. SOLUTION: The solidification method includes sequentially or simultaneously adding a solution A prepared by using a lignin-based composition and sodium silicate as main components and a solution B prepared by using a lignin-based composition and calcium chloride as main components to a material to be solidified and a calcium-based composition and solidifying the material to be solidified by agitating and mixing the material to be solidified and the like.
