ILLUMINATION APPARATUS AND ENDOSCOPE WITH OBJECTIVE ILLUMINATION USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the light control with a very simple structure without an increase in size of an illumination apparatus which is used by attaching it to an endoscope or the like. SOLUTION: A fixed diaphragm (10) to control and output a bundle of rays which is diffused and emitted from a light source (9) at a prescribed angle and a light control mechanism (6) to move the light source (9) to come close to or go far from the fixed diaphragm (10) are installed in the illumination apparatus (7) for the light control of the illumination light which is applied to a subject of observation through a light guide (5) inserted in a probe (2) of the endoscope (1) so that the quantity of light to pass through the fixed diaphragm (10) can be increased or decreased by moving the light source (9).
