PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily write or read information required for editing an image onto or from a disk-like storage device. SOLUTION: An image processor 2 of the present invention comprises: an input image receiving unit for receiving inputted image data; a first compression transfer unit 12 for transferring the received image data directly to a disk-like storage device; a region data generation unit for generating region data of the image data; a second compression transfer unit 13 for transferring the generated region data to an HDD 14; and an output image processing unit for editing the image data according to the region data stored on the HDD 14.
