PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable recording and reproduction of data by attaining higher accuracy of positioning control of a magnetic head slider. SOLUTION: In a magnetic head assembly provided with the magnetic head slider 2 recording and reproducing information to and from a rotated magnetic disk 101 and a suspension 1 supporting the magnetic head slider 2, an air flow adjusting means 3 for regulating the air flow amount of air flowing between the magnetic disk 101 and the magnetic head slider 2 associated with rotation of the magnetic disk 101 is provided.
