FLUORESCENT LAMP, BACKLIGHT UNIT, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL TELEVISION

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric barrier discharge lamp in which scratches and cracks of an external electrode hardly occur and corona discharge is hardly generated, and which has the external electrode with a lifetime not inferior to that of other portions.

SOLUTION: This is a fluorescent lamp which is provided with external electrodes 102, 103 formed by surrounding by a conductive paste on the outer circumference face at the end part of a glass bulb 101 of which both ends are sealed. Metal members 104, 105 of cap-shape or sleeve-shape connected by surrounding at least a part of the outer circumference face of the external electrodes 102, 103 are provided.
