PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery which can be easily jointed with another, and a battery pack equipped with such sealed batteries. SOLUTION: The sealed battery 100 is provided with a power generating element 120, a battery container 110, and an external cathode terminal 150 fixed to a first container face 110a. Container faces 110c, 110d and others are external anode parts electrically connected with an anode of the generating element 120. The external cathode terminal 150 is provided with an extended jointing part 155 vertically extended toward the first container face 110a. The extended jointing part 155 is overlapped on the external anode parts in free jointing when the external cathode terminal 150 of the sealed battery 100 is made in contact with a second container face 110b of another sealed battery 100.
