PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal in which the residual capacity of a battery can be detected accurately through a simple arrangement, and to provide a power supply in which a user can manage the battery of the portable terminal effectively depending on the purpose of use. SOLUTION: The portable terminal having a battery group 1 consisting of two or more batteries 1A, 1B,... operating independently on the same voltage comprises a battery control section 2 for controlling connection between each battery 1A, 1B,... and a power supply circuit individually for each battery 1A, 1B,... and performing control for using the batteries 1A, 1B,... sequentially one by one.
