PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio system which can reproduce sound of even a portable audio player having no hard disk drive or the like and an on-vehicle audio player independently of its specifications, and which can provide information about sound data to a user. SOLUTION: Recording is performed for a compact disk with a format including an information file 33 to which address information in which attribute information such as artist names, titles, genre and a compressed sound file are recorded is associated in addition to a compression audio file group 32 in which sound data is encoded with the prescribed system. A disk player reads out the information file from the compact disk recorded with the format, presents a music selection list in which artist names, titles, genre or the like can be looked through to the user.
