PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crescent lock for a window which automatically locks an operation handle by simple mechanism and rational constitution (only by an energizing means and a knob operation piece). SOLUTION: In the crescent lock for the window, rotation lock mechanism 10 includes the energizing means 11 incorporated in a case body 5 and the knob operation piece 12 which is always pressed on an arched peripheral wall 7a of a spoon 7 by a stopper part 12a in the case body continuously formed to a knob part 12d through spring force of the energizing means. When an operation handle 8 is turned to a handle locking position, the stopper part of the knob operation piece moves to a position opposed to an end surface 7b of the spoon by the spring force of the energizing means, and automatically locks the operation handle.
