There is provided an apparatus for brewing beverages comprising; an upper vessel part; a lower vessel part; a watertight joint whereby the upper and lower vessel parts can be releasably assembled into a unified vessel, the vessel having an open upper end and a closed lower end; so that when assembled, the vessel can receive and retain fluid therein; and a plunger apparatus comprising; a filter apparatus; and a plunger arm; wherein the plunger arm and filter apparatus are joined or can be joined, so that the filter apparatus can be pushed into the vessel via the plunger arm; and the filter apparatus is adapted to fit into and seal against the inside of the vessel, so that when pushed into the vessel the filter apparatus forms a barrier across the inside of the vessel. |
