The electric machine with high temperature superconducting (HTS)-rotor winding (8) has an excitation device (6) placed inside the partially axial hollow shaft (4) of the rotor (2). The excitation device is provided at the B-side shaft extension (5). The excitation device transfers energy to the rotor.
