<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing sheath displacement of cable which is detachable easily and in a short period of time regardless of the laying place of the cable and can surely prevent shrinkage of the sheath of the cable end at the terminal of the cable to prevent the displacement of the sheath, and a method for preventing sheath displacement. <P>SOLUTION: A linear body 11 is bent into a zigzag configuration to form two supports 13 for supporting the cable 1 and two pushing parts 15 for applying pressure from outside to the cable 1.
