X-RAY COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY APPARATUS AND MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the image storage capacity in an X-ray computer tomography apparatus and a medical image processing apparatus.

SOLUTION: The X-ray computer tomography apparatus and the medical image processing apparatus are provided each with: a rack 1 for collecting projection data concerning the three-dimensional area of a patient; a reconstitution apparatus 38 for reconstituting first tomographic image data concerning a plurality of cross section areas based on the projection data; an MPR processor 48 for generating second tomographic image data concerning an optional cross section from the first tomographic image data; a storage apparatus 49 for storing the first tomographic image data and the second tomographic image data; and a control part 29 which controls the storage part 49 for substantially deleting the first tomographic image data from the storage part 49 with the completion of generation of the second tomographic image data.
