摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce animation pseudo-contour noise, which is generated when gradation expression by a weighted subframe method is used, to the level that practically causes no problem while using the weighted subframe method. <P>SOLUTION: A self-luminous display panel is made in a matrix manner by arranging pixels, each of which includes a electroluminescence element, at the crossing points of a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scanning selection lines. In the driving device of the panel, the weighted subframe method is selected, i.e., one frame interval is time divided into a plurality of subframe intervals, gradation bits, which set a lighting interval for every subframe, are assigned for the weighting and the gradation display is conducted by the summed-up of the lighting interval of each subframe.
