<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back light unit of a liquid crystal display which has excellent diffusion effect. <P>SOLUTION: The back light unit has a light guide plate 10, a lamp 20, a reflection layer 22, and a light condensing unit 24. The light guide plate 10 has a 1st surface 12 and a 2nd surface 14 on both opposite sides and also has a diffusion layer 30 between the 1st surface 12 and 2nd surface 14. The diffusion layer 30 includes a base 32 and a plurality of particles 34. The lamp 20 is mounted by the light guide plate 10 to provide a light beam to the light guide plate 10. The reflection layer 22 is mounted on the 2nd surface 14 of the light guide plate 10. The light condensing unit 24 is mounted on the 1st surface 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
