<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a console switcher for switching a plurality of computer equipment for facilitating countermeasures to failure by automatically acquiring the failure information of connected computer equipment without making an operator perform switching operation manually even when a special application is not installed by an additional function. <P>SOLUTION: The console switcher 100 receives the signal of connected computer equipment 110 and detects the failure of the computer equipment 110 from the received signal, and automatically switches to computer equipment where the failure has occurred, so that operation can be performed. When the failure has occurred, an LED 123 corresponding to the computer equipment performs display, and failure information is displayed at a connected display device 113.
