<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can reduce power consumption during animation play back display in which display images are constantly updated. <P>SOLUTION: Based on coded data information 110 which is outputted from a decoding means 101 and stored in a coded data information memory means 102 and the condition with which the function of a display image generating means 106 stored in a display image generating means control information memory means 104 is stopped or lowered, the means 106 is stopped by a display image generation control means 103.
