PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality image, which relates to an image forming apparatus adopting a so-called electrophotographic system and provided with an image carrier for carrying an electrostatic latent image and a toner storage body for storing toner, the electrophotographic toner stored in the toner storage body, and an electrophotographic developer. SOLUTION: A cleaning member 151 is provided, which is brought into contact with the surface 11b of the image carrier 11 so as to remove from the surface 11b a residue left on the surface 11b after a toner image is transferred to a transfer surface 30. The toner storage body 141 stores toner base particles consisting of at least a binder resin and a colorant and resin particles in which compound fine particles having an acid accepting effect are involved in the state that a part of it is exposed to the surface.
