PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally transmit signals via a transmission line between circuit blocks including different power supply systems. SOLUTION: An IC 1 comprising a trench insulation and separation structure includes a protocol converting portion 3 and a transceiver 4 which are insulated from each other. Capacitors 22, 23 are interposed to transmission lines 20, 21 between output circuits 15, 16 and comparators 34, and a capacitor 35 is connected between input terminals of the comparators 34. If the output circuits 15, 16 output voltages which are inverted from each other, a voltage dividing operation is generated in a serial circuit of capacitors 22, 35 and 23 and a divided voltage is generated between terminals of the capacitors 35. The direction of the divided voltage is uniquely determined in accordance with a logic (H/L) of transmission signals inputted to the output circuits 15, 16. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
