PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a log collection method, a log collection system, a log information notifying program, a log information collecting program, and a recording medium which can reduce congestion of an access network near a log collection device. SOLUTION: This log collection system is composed of a log collection device and a node device 2 which respectively have sequence number storages 12 and 22. When a log message is received, the value of a sequence number to which 1 is added included in the message received is stored in the sequence number storing portion. Log information held in a log storage 26 of its own node device is added to the end of the message, sequence numbers of the adjoining node devices are compared, and the message is transferred to a node device with the smallest value.
