PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which brightness of a fluorescent face can be maintained by continuously carrying out anode power feeding even if a metal back layer has defects. SOLUTION: This is the image display device that is provided with the front face substrate 11 which has a fluorescent face 17 including a phosphor layer and a light shielding layer, and has the metal back layer 20 which is installed superposed on this fluorescent face and which is an anode electrode for electronically exciting the phosphor layer, and the rear face substrate which is oppositely arranged on the front face substrate, and in which an electron emitting element which emits electrons toward the fluorescent face is arranged, and in which an anode feeding terminal and an anode feeding wiring 16 connected to the metal back layer are formed on the front face substrate, and in which the anode feeding wiring 16 is formed on the front face substrate 11 side than the metal back layer 20, and connected via the metal back layer 20 and a resistor material layer 19.
