PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniform a service life of each compressor, and to provide highly efficient operation when a plurality of outdoor machines are included in an outdoor unit, and a plurality of the compressors are included in each outdoor machine. SOLUTION: When the outdoor unit 1 is provided with the plurality of outdoor machines, the plurality of compressors are included in each outdoor machine, one particular outdoor machine is a master machine 10, and other outdoor machines are slave machines 20, one variable speed compressor 10a is included in the master machine 10, constant speed compressors 10b, 10c, 20a-20c are used as the remaining compressors, and by a rotation control means, a constantly operating state of the variable speed compressor 10a is provided, and a predetermined constant speed compressor is selected in response to magnitude of a load of an indoor unit 2 side to be operated in parallel with the variable speed compressor 10a.
