PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the clincher mechanism of a stapler which can always secure a good spelling by making right and left fastening quantities equal during spelling. SOLUTION: In the clincher mechanism of the stapler in which a pair of right and left movable clinchers 4 bending a staple leg 7 penetrating spelling paper 2 set in a stapler main body is pivoted rotatably on a holding plate 5, it is supported swingably around the center between the rotary axes 10 of both movable clinchers 4 of the holding plate 5.
