PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter which can solve the problem that a filter frame, which is simple in structure and operation, can realize replacement of a filter medium, and can maintain a high level of airtightness, cannot be provided yet, despite the recent adoption of a filter medium replacement-type filter in the air filter industry from the viewpoints of reducing industrial wastes, improving natural environment, and reducing the cost. SOLUTION: In this air filter, in a filter frame 1 comprising an upper plate 2, a lower plate 3, and side plates 4a, 4b provided on both sides, bent shape parts 5a, 5b are provided in the upper plate 2. The bent shape parts 5a, 5b are fitted into a space defined by a plate piece 7 formed on the inner face of the upper part in both side plates 4a, 4b, and both the side plates 4a, 4b, so that the upper plate 2 is rendered detachable. Further, an elastic seal material 9 is applied on the inner surface of both the side plates 4a, 4b and the inner surface of the upper plate 2 and the inner face of the lower plate 3.
