PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter like a bag filter of a dust collector requiring heat resistance and a filter surface processing method capable of enhancing chemical resistance, water repelling property, low friction resistance or dust detaching property. SOLUTION: A filter medium 1 composed of fiber assembly like woven fabric or nonwoven fabric is dipped in dispersion containing polyimide resin particles, fluororesin particles and heat resistant short fibers like PTFE, then dried to be solidified. Thus, a surface layer consisting of a mixture of polyimide resin 2, fluororesin 3 and heat resistant short fibers 4 is formed on the surface of the filter medium 1. Gaps between the fibers of the filter medium 1 can be blocked with the heat resistant micro-short fibers, to secure high filter performance at low cost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
