[Also in Division B3] An injection mould comprises male and female mould halves wherein metal shells are provided with cooling pipes 6, 16 and thermocouples 7, 15, and are set in aluminous cement in bolster frames. Metal blocks are bolted to the frames and dowels 30 in the blocks of one frame locate in holes 31 in the blocks of the other frame. The blocks take up most of the machine clamp forces when the mould halves are closed thereby reducing the risk of damage to the aluminous cement. |
