STEEL SHEET HAVING HIGH Al CONTENT AND EXHIBITING EXCELLENT WORKABILITY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

A steel sheet having a high Al content, characterized in that it has an Al content of 6.5 to 10 mass %, and the accumulation degree of the {222} face of a-Fe crystal to the surface of the steel sheet is 60 % to 95 % and/or the accumulation degree of the {200} face of the crystal to the surface is 0.01 to 15 %; a method for producing the above steel sheet having a high Al content on a large scale at a low cost; a metal foil having a high Al content; a method for producing the metal foil; and a metal carrier which uses the metal foil having a high Al content. The above steel sheet having a high Al content exhibits excellent workability.
