1303676 Orotamides and salts thereof; pyridoxime salts LES ETABS C DAVID RABOT 1 April 1970 [4 April 1969] 15501/70 Headings C2C and C2V [Also in Division A5] Orotamides and salts thereof of the formula wherein n is greater than 2 and R is H, alkyl, or an aromatic or heterocyclic radical derived from benzene, pyridine, pyrrole, thiazole, indole or furan, the compounds being novel when n is 3, 4 or 5, are prepared by reacting orotic acid derivative with alkali or alkaline earth metal salts of amino acids of the formula and, if desired converting the compounds thus obtained into salts by reacting them with hydroxides or carbonates of alkali or alkaline earth metals, amines, amino acids or esters of amino acids. |
