The aim of the invention is to join sections of glass sheets (3, 4, 5) by means of a butt joint by gluing their edges (4', 5') with an adhesive. To achieve this, said sections of the glass sheets (3, 4, 5) are provided with oversized edges (4', 5') and the profile of the edges (4', 5') that are to be glued is graduated by sanding or milling and is then polished. The profiled and polished edges (4', 5') are subsequently glued together with the graduated edges (8) overlapping by means of the adhesive. |
