An index tab moulded integrally from resilient, transparent plastics material and intended to be engaged in apertures extending along an upper edge of a suspension filing folder comprises a horizontal rod 5, Fig. 1, from which depends a pair of folder engaging members 6, 7 the front one 6 of which is provided with spaced, aperture engaging projections 15 and from which projects upwardly a pair of label holding members 8, 9, the front one of which forms a window for an index label (not shown). The index label is retained by the member 9 and a tongue 11 depending from the member 8 which is also provided with a label abutment 12. To mount the index tab on the filing folder the members 8, 9 are pressed together to spread apart the members 6, 7, Fig. 4, and then released to allow the members to engage the upper edge of the filing folder. |
