The kit has a holding element (1) for matching a length of the T8/T10 fluorescent tubes (7), two sockets (2) attached to both ends of the holding element, whereby each socket contains an adapter for connecting to a socket at one end and a connection point for a T5/T4 tube at the other end, whereby the adapter (4) can easily be removed from the sockets. An independent claim is also included for an adapter.
