The arrangement has a display screen (25) for showing a virtual image. The virtual image is formed by processing a target image (26) seen at the windshield of a motor vehicle. A light source (3) irradiates light towards the target image on an image crystal (4). The light passes through image crystal, intermediate optics (6), and optical lens (16) to vary brightness and reduce size of the target image to fit the boundary limits of display screen. Independent claims are included for the following: (A) Group of head-up display arrangement; and (B) Operation of the head-up display arrangement.
