<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake control device of an engine capable of suppressing a deterioration in the conversion rate of exhaust catalyst even when an increase control of an intake amount is executed. <P>SOLUTION: The device equipped with a cutoff valve (3) which is provided to an intake passage (2) on the upstream side of an intake valve and which increases an intake amount by being opened/closed by synchronization with a intake valve (1).
