<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner capable of avoiding the breakage of a motor even when a rotation center shaft is set in the horizontal direction, and to provide a projector comprising the optical scanner. <P>SOLUTION: The optical scanner 45 is provided with a prism 451 which has four luminous flux incident side end faces 451A, refracts a luminous flux passing through the inner part by rotation and changes an emission position of the luminous flux and a rotation driving part 452 which drives the rotation of a prism 451 around the rotation center shaft R. The rotation driving part 452 is provided with a first support part 453 and a second support part 454 which are respectively connected with two end faces intersecting the four luminous flux incident side end faces 451A on the prism 451 and support and fix the prism 451, a motor 456 which drives the rotation of the first support part 453 and a motor bracket 457 which allows a rotator in the motor 456 to rotatably support the motor 456 and is rotatably pivotally supported by a rotation shaft 454A of the second support part 454 via a bearing part 455. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
