PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of pealing by rarely causing running out of lubricant on the outer diameter surface of a roller. SOLUTION: A rotary sliding component (roller 22) contacts a mating component (cam 24) by rolling or sliding. Many grooves 26 having a depth of 0.5-15μm with a tilt of 0-30°in circumference are formed when polishing a contact surface with the mating component. Relating to the contact surface, surface waviness in axial direction is set to be 0.1 or more in wave center line waviness (WCA) while surface roughness in axial direction is set to be 0.7 or more in ten-point average roughness (Rz) by the grooves 26.
