PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of removing an undesirable movement from a plurality of related images. SOLUTION: In the method for removing an undesirable movement from a plurality of continuously related images, an image shift value is determined by utilizing adaptive filtering of image movement. Difference between movements of continuous images is associated with a reference frame and a smoothing filter is applied to such a difference of samples of images adjacent to a test image (S-3, S-7). An image shift value is calculated by subtracting a difference associated with a test frame from a filtered image including the test frame. The image shift value is compared with an image shift parameter (S-8, S-10), sample size is adjusted, and the image shift value is recalculated according to the adjusted sample size (S-7, S-9, S-11, S-12).
