PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for dehydrating a gas hydrate, in which the dehydration rate of gas hydrate slurry is improved by screw press type physical dehydration. SOLUTION: This apparatus for dehydrating the gas hydrate is provided with: an outer cylinder 35; a cylindrical dehydration screen 37 arranged inside the outer cylinder 35; a cylindrical vessel 54 extended from one end of the dehydration screen 37; rotary shafts 41, 42 inserted into the dehydration screen 37 and the cylindrical vessel 54, respectively; a screw blade 39 fit to the outer periphery of the rotary shaft 41 inside the dehydration screen 37; a blade 57 fit to the outer periphery of the rotary shaft 42 inside the cylindrical vessel 54; a supplying port 45 for the gas hydrate slurry 43 inserted into the other end of the dehydration screen 37; a water discharging port 49 arranged on the outer cylinder 35; a gas supplying port 65 for supplying a gaseous raw material 63 of the gas hydrate into the cylindrical vessel 54; a discharging port 69 for the gas hydrate 67 arranged at the other end of the cylindrical vessel 54; and a flow passage (56) for circulating a cooling medium for cooling the gas hydrate 67 and the gaseous raw material 63 in the cylindrical vessel 54.
