PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared transmitter-receiver having excellent characteristics in all angle, distance and power characteristics and capable of controlling structure for evading useless transmission irradiation and a data transmitting method by a control device. SOLUTION: An information transmitter comprises a means (a) for receiving an information request signal from an information receiver, a control means (b) for selecting a specific information transmitting means out of a plurality of information transmitting means on the basis of the received information request signal and a means (c) for transmitting the selected information from the selected information transmitting means on the basis of the received information request signal. In this invention, a request signal from the information receiver is received, an information transmitting means capable of transmitting information by aiming only at a direction in which a user exists is selected and started out of a plurality of information transmitting means to transmit information.
