PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel with reflection brightness of external light reduced, by forming a colored reflection-preventing layer with grooves engraved at a part of barrier ribs. SOLUTION: An assembling body of a plasma display device is provided with a first substrate, a second substrate arranged in parallel with the first substrate, barrier ribs arranged between the first and the second substrates, and a reflection-preventing layer for reducing reflection brightness at a display area of the substrate. Since the grooves are thereby formed in the barrier ribs and the reflection-preventing layer made of a colored material is formed through this, the reflection brightness can be reduced during the driving to improve contrast of the panel.
