PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-reinforced external heat insulating material easy to be machined, e.g. to be cut and bored at a site, meeting conditions of the crack prevention of a construction fixed part, surface crack prevention, the prevention of crack and exfoliation caused by an impact and the like, and having excellent fire resistance. SOLUTION: The fiber-reinforced external heat insulating material is formed by laminating a glass mesh or a carbon mesh 3 and urethane foam 4 on one face of a fiber-reinforced cement board 1 of high strength and high tenacity. Reinforcing fiber is polyvinylalcohol synthetic fiber with a fiber length of 6,020 mm and has performance of 5-10% elongation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
