PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for use in a powder coating superior in heat resistance and coating film strength by using a specific epoxy compound having a terpene backbone. SOLUTION: This resin composition for use in the powder coating comprises (A) a resin obtained by reacting a vinyl monomer with a monooxide compound and/or a dioxide compound and/or a trioxide compound and/or a hydrogenated product thereof of a terpene compound of 1-3 double bonds selected from the group consisting of a monoterpene compound, a monoterpene alcohol compound, a monoterpene aldehyde compound and a monoterpene ketone compound, and (B) an initiator.
