PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of external light on measured current, at inspection of an organic EL panel. SOLUTION: Since this light-shielding device is equipped with a light shielding member to cover at least the light-emitting face of the organic EL panel and to shield entrance of external light into the light-emitting face, influence of a current generated by entrance of the external light into the light-emitting face is prevented, and influence on the measured current by the external light is reduced at the inspection of the organic EL panel. One form of the light-shielding device for the organic EL panel is a casing, capable of housing at least the light-emitting face of the organic EL panel in its inside, and the inner wall surface of the casing has a low reflection factor with respect to light. The external light is prevented from entering into at least the light-emitting face, by housing the the organic EL panel in the casing, and current is prevented from being generated by the external current.
