PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scotch for stopping railroad vehicle having sufficient rolling prevention effect without being damaged relative to a freight-train car of high weight and having no fear of derailing even when it erroneously starts without removing the scotch in the scotch (scotch) for railroad vehicle movement prevention. SOLUTION: The scotch for stopping railroad vehicle comprises a scotch body in which two scotch blocks, i.e., a press molded product made of plastic or NC cutting machined product of block-like plastic are opposed to each other and integrated; and a wedge-like scotch head having a crest type inclination part on an upper part. An inclination support surface is provided on the scotch body and rolling of a wheel is prevented. A fitting part is recessedly provided on a ridge part of the scotch body and the scotch head is fitted to this. Thereby, when the vehicle erroneously starts and rides over the scotch head, the scotch body is disassembled by wedge effect and derailing is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
