PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seaweed bed-forming reef which can perfectly inhibit the invasion of alga-eating animals such as sea urchins into an alga reef without being affected by conditions such as weather, places, the presence or absence of ocean currents, and the strengths of the ocean currents. SOLUTION: This method for preventing the invasion of the alga-eating animals into the seaweed bed-forming reef, namely for preventing the invasion of the alga-eating animals eating sea algae as feeds into the seaweed bed-forming reef for growing the sea algae, is characterized by preliminarily disposing many floats especially sinking by the weights of the alga-eating animals around the seaweed bed-forming reef 3, whereby the floats 4 having the alga-eating animals loaded thereon sink together with the alga-eating animals, and then return around the seaweed bed-forming reef 3, when the alga-eating animals are separated from the sunk floats 4.
