The cooking pot lid clamp pair of legs (2,3) with shaped ends to clamp the handle of a cooking pot or frying pan lid. The lid can then by tilted and held open by the clamp which has a shaped wire support to engage the edge of the pot. The support (1) has a pair of spaced tines (7) to fit over the upper edge of the pot. The clamp can be laterally sprung with a defined spacing.
