<p>A retractor (10), a distracter (12), and a drill guide (130, 130') for use in performing anterior cervical discectomy and vertebral fusion. The distracter is located with respect to vertebrae (18, 20) to be fused by pins (154, 156) fastened in the vertebrae to be fused, and the retractor is mated mechanically with the distracter to hold the retractor in a required location. Blade carrying arms (36, 38) of the retractor are both moved toward or away from a central part (30) of the retractor.</p> |
