The detector (8) covers a first detection area (1) for collecting projections in the first direction, and covers the second and third detection areas (2,3) for collection of projections in the second and third directions. The first detection area is divided into two sections, in which the first section is transverse to the longitudinal axis (7) of the detector and has a larger expansion than the second section. The longitudinal axis of the detector is parallel to the system axis (Z) of the computed tomography equipment. The first detection range has a third section that covers the second section and a part of the first section. The third section has an expansion that is transverse to the longitudinal axis of the detector with the second section and towards the longitudinal axis with the sum of expansions of the first and second sections. An independent claim is included for the computed tomography equipment with the detector.
